Sound Telecom Picks Their Favorite Holiday Music

After questioning  several of the Sound Telecom team members, we’d like to share some of our favorite Holiday songs.   Also, don’t miss the special treat at the end!

The Holidays are a great time to enjoy pretty lights, delicious foods and spend some time with your family/friends. Another important element to the holidays is of course the music! Holiday music can unlock memories from childhood, unleash festive feelings of joy, or fill the biggest Grinch with holiday cheer.

There are some people who switch over to the radio station that plays non-stop Christmas music right after Thanksgiving so they can get a whole month of festive tunes. Others can get there fill on just the 24th/25th. But whoever you are, you’ve probably got at least one holiday song that you enjoy the most.

So what are some of the best holiday songs? We asked a few of the people around the call center and the Sound Telecom Team  picked a few of their favorite Christmas songs.

Getting the ball rolling, we have our Marketing Director Andrew Tillery, whose favorites are “O Holy Night” “We Three Kings” and the classic “Carol of the Bells” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Next we have our Call Center Manager Brian Gabriel chiming in with “Silent Night” (you can hear the call center pun from a mile away.)

One of our Supervisors, Melinda Howard, also agrees with the “Silent Night” nod. She also adds on “Jingle Bell Rock“, and Mariah Carey’sAll I want for Christmas” which are both very contemporary and sleigh ride of fun for the holidays!

Tasha Miller, our account programming lead, has some wonderful childhood memories attached to Bing Crosby’sWhite Christmas” and the iconic Chipmunk song “Christmas Don’t be Late.”

Sydney Diamond loves the Charlie Brown Christmas tune “Linus and Lucy” as well as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s version of “Little Drummer Boy.” Any of the compositions from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite are favorites of hers as well!

Derrec Williams, our A/R Credit Manager, is also a fan of “Silent Night” as well as the classic “Jingle Bells” and the newer version of “O Holy Night” by Mariah Carey.

We also had a couple people put up votes for “Feliz Navidad.”

To round out our holiday song suggestions, I recommend my own favorites like the new cover for “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies” by Pentatonix, as well as the Pentatonix version of “Carol of the Bells.” And if Frozen’s “Let it Go” counted as a holiday song then I’d totally put that one in there too.

No matter the holiday you celebrate, or your level of festive spirit, you can never go wrong with music, and holiday music can be some of the best out there! Embrace the season! Be merry! And have an extra slice of pie, you deserve it. Now, a gift from us to you: a tree made of all the links to the songs listed above! Unwrap each one and enjoy!

About Dylan Snodgrass

Dylan is the Office Manager for Sound Telecom. He is responsible for providing excellent customer service for callers and clients while also taking care of the various needs around the Seattle headquarters. It is not uncommon to also find Dylan helping out with Human Resources, Accounting and Billing as necessary. Before joining the Sound Telecom team, Dylan worked with a large call center providing training for new agents. He also worked for a call center start-up for multiple years with duties ranging from Customer Service Representative to Team Lead Supervisor for a team of over twenty agents. When Dylan isn't helping manage the office, he is spending time enjoying video games, or playing board games with a local group in Seattle. The Emerald City always felt like home for Dylan while he was growing up an hour away in Bremerton, so when he finally moved over a year ago, he couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
